Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given in accordance with M.G.L.Chapter 40A, Section 5, and the Leyden Zoning Bylaws, that the Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Wed. May 7, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. in the Municipal Office Building at 7 Brattleboro Road, Leyden. This hearing will review proposed revisions to the Leyden Zoning Bylaw, including revisions to and new paragraphs for Sections 3 Definitions, 4. Use Regulations, and a new Section 5.13 Accessory Dwelling Units. These changes are related to rural residential housing, common driveways, event venues and retreat centers, short term vacation rentals, temporary and alternative housing, mobile homes, multi-family housing, accessory dwelling units, and battery energy storage facilities. The purpose of this public hearing is to provide interested parties with the opportunity to comment on these revisions to the Leyden Zoning Bylaw.

For review purposes only, a copy of the proposed Zoning Bylaw amendments is available for inspection in the office of the Town Coordinator at the Municipal Office Building, 7 Brattleboro Rd., during that office’s regular business hours, or on the Leyden Town Website at www.townofleyden.com.
