Free Permethrin Shoe Spraying Event at Avery Field Pavilion on Monday, July 13, from 4-6p.
Protect yourself from tick bites by spraying your shoes! Ticks often latch onto shoes and lower pant legs first. Treating shoes with Permethrin, which is safe for humans, helps reduce the risk of ticks attaching and spreading Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses.
Bring a pair of clean and dry shoes you wear most often outside—like in the garden, woods or fields—and a paper bag to bring them home in.
